Beauty in symmetry.

Part of a curated selection of 20 games at alt.ctrl.GDC 2019, Kaleida is an abstract controller with an arcade-style defender game designed by myself and my team. Players touch the sides of the unique controller to spin the play space and press down on the centerpiece to blast a laser at the incoming enemies as the environment becomes more complex.

Cosmic Chaos

With friends like these, who needs enemies?

Cosmic Chaos is an 8-player party game where 2 players share a controller - one player from each team. 2 teams of 4 compete to gather pellets and bring them to their respective side of the arena and each player competes to get the most amount of pellets in their zone at the end of the round.

This game was designed with the idea of “co-opetition” in mind, where players compete with the other team and their teammates.

Ratical Rhyder!

Humanity is on the verge of e-RAT-ication.

The "Dark White Blight" has greatly decreased the human population, and it has gotten the underground rat society's attention. Take on the role of Rhyder Ryden, an unlikely hero with a very specific set of skills and send out your best medics to help e-rat-icate this epidemic. 

Complete with comic-style cut scenes, original music and voice acting.

This live document explains the design intentions and feature breakdowns of a retro style roguelike game where players have access to modifiers to their weapons and movement, but also the generation of the dungeons they explore. Players pick up modifiers that can alter the procedural generation of dungeon rooms and floors to influence their gameplay experience and builds.
